Karolina Błachnia Quartet

Karolina Błachnia Quartet is a Warsaw‑based ensemble led by vocalist, instrumentalist, improviser, and composer Karolina Błachnia. The group focuses on original music shaped by jazz and improvisation, guided by values of openness, freedom of expression, and a strong sense of musical community. Karolina draws inspiration from both jazz vocalists and instrumentalists, using lyrics and improvisation to reflect her perspective on the world. Her artistic voice shapes the quartet’s sound and its approach to collective creation. The ensemble has received recognition at several competitions in Poland and Central Europe, highlighting its growing artistic presence. Their debut album Wschód (Sunrise) was nominated for a Fryderyk Award.
