James Francies Trio

James Francies is widely regarded as one of the outstanding talents of his generation — a pianist who seamlessly blends modern jazz with electronic soundscapes, post-bop energy, and contemporary grooves. He has already thrilled audiences in Langnau as part of Chris Potter’s trio Circuits. Still in his early thirties, he has collaborated with numerous leading figures in jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, and released his debut album on the renowned Blue Note label. Francies combines musicality and virtuosity in a unique way, developing with his own trio a fresh, modern sound rooted in jazz and groove while drawing on a wide range of influences to create a powerful and personal expression.
