Takeoff Concerts
The Takeoff Concerts are a platform for young bands at a high level. Bands from all over the world are invited. The performing acts are selected by a jury of experts. In recent years, musicians from Botswana, Holland, Germany, England, Italy, Bulgaria, Korea, the USA and Switzerland have performed in front of an enthusiastic audience in a unique setting.
Performing at the renowned Langnau Jazz Nights offers the qualified bands a great incentive to develop their musical skills, make contacts and gain valuable experience.
Participation Details
Do you have a band? Would you like to show off your skills at a jazz festival? Then this is the opportunity! We are looking for young up-and-coming bands to perform at the Takeoff Concerts as part of the Langnau Jazz Nights 2026 (July 21 to 25). The band will perform on an open-air stage for about 45 minutes.
Application deadline: March 15, 2026
Notification by: April 1, 2026
- The band’s music should have something to do with jazz in some sort of way.
- The bands will be selected by a jury.
- Our jury needs an audio sample. Please send an mp3 file to: takeoff@jazz-nights.ch
Fee
CHF 200 per person
Contribution to travel expenses
Accommodation, food & drinks:
- 2 nights at the youth hostel Emme Lodge (dormitory)
- 2x breakfast, 2x lunch, 2x dinner

Concerts
Festival pass standing (free admission to all concerts of the festival)

- Unedited live recording (single tracks)
